Thanks to our website, the diligence of the Membership Committee and active Lodge members, Evelynn was initiated in January. Marian, DeeAnn, and Karin were initiated into the Order in March. At Midsommar, we initiated Lydia. The beauty part of our organization is that we are made up of so many varieties of ages, interests, and skills! It surely does take a village to keep our Lodge alive and well. | New Members Välkommen! |

111 years and counting! Members celebrated our Svea history at the annual banquet on May 18th at the Shrine Club. We were honored to have Jack Bartlett and Ella Graffius join us. Jack and Ella are the Star Boy and Lucia for this year's Lucia program. It was a great opportunity to meet and greet two of the stars of one of the biggest events Svea has. It was wonderful to acknowledge Marge Johnson's 95th birthday being celebrated this month! |
Our Swedish Connection Our new website has garnered new friends - from Sweden, DL #19, Lodge #452 Goteborg, Sweden! Lars Andersson has been a wonderful ambassador for the Swedish Lodge #452. Recently, Tom Hetrick, one of our members, traveled to Sweden. Tom was able to meet up with Lars and was then introduced to others who helped him track his Swedish heritage. Make sure you look at the photos Tom took of his journey and his new found Swedish friends on the Home Page. Goteborg #452 recently celebrated their 100th anniversary.
